Q: How long does it take to get a yacht to the Med from the South Coast of England?
A: Two to Four weeks. Remember it is frequently about how well the yacht is prepared for the delivery. The Atlantic is a tough place for sailing yachts. Q: How much do you charge?
A: It depends, there are many parameters to consider. It is much cheaper than transporting the yacht by road ( I trucked my 35 footer down to the Med 5 years ago). We are more expensive than some yacht delivery company, but who would want a disgruntled skipper or crew delivering your yacht. The is a lot of responsibility attached to delivering a yacht. We try to give you a price for the whole delivery. You will need to provide accommodation for the yacht delivery skipper and crew (normally on the yacht). Bear in mind that this preparation should involve stowing items, filling tanks and getting used to the yacht. Major work can be undertaken, but customers will be charged a day rate for the skipper and the crew (normally one crew remember). Q: What are the advantages of getting a yacht delivery crew to deliver the yacht as opposed road transport or shipping the yacht?
A: Time, a delivery crew can get out to your yacht rapidly and the job can commence without fuss. PRICE. Q: Can I see you qualifiacations?
A: Of course, and you wil be provided with the qualifacations of any skipper who sails your vessel. You wil be paying for the insurance and it is your responsability to insure the vessel, although quite often there will be a clause already in the policy that covers deliveries.
