Pre- Yacht Delivery Preparation
Things that you can do to prepare foot a delivery to reduce your
overall costs and save time.
- Ensure all safety equipment has been serviced and is fit for
purpose.
- Ensure the engines serviced and works well.
- Ensure all rigging has been checked.
- Ensure instrumentation is functioning.
- Below the waterline including the propeller and shaft need to be
clean and free form barnacles.
- Ensure the hatches are water tight.
- Remove anything that is not required for the delivery, apart
from things you want onboard.
- Stow all items well.
- Ensure sails and running rigging are fit for purpose.
- Ensure fenders are functional and free form barnacles.
- Ensure sea cocks are functioning and can be closed.
- Ensure all winches are functioning.
- Flush and fill water tanks.
- Fill Diesel tank.
- Ensure the heads function and always have a spare heads service
kit available.
- Ensure there is a spare headsail furling line.
- Try and ensure that there eared as many spares as possible and
that the skipper is aware of their location( which needs to be
convenient)

We can wrap and pack you yacht for transit to and requirements that
you specify.

We can organize the hoisting of your vessel for anti-fouling and
below hull pre-voyage checks if necessary. However, it might be better
for your local yard to conduct this operation for you. We charge at a
day rate for work required on the hard.
When you contract us for a yacht delivery we include one day on site
(24 hours) in the price. Overnight accommodation for the skipper and
crew will be required. normally this is on the vessel designated for
delivery.
Additionally we ensure that the yacht is in a presentable state
before the crew leaves the vessel at the designated port. A separate
clause is included in the contract to deal with unforeseeable damage.
