How it works with AquaSix's Yacht Delivery Service:

If you are considering using AquaSix.co.uk to deliver your sailing yacht then contact us now. Inform us of your requiremements; remember that although we have quite strict parameters, we will consider variations. Inform us of all the information you believe to be relevant regarding the yacht and the yacht delivery. Primarily this includes:

• The size of the vessel.
• The engine type, condition, fuel tank size, consumption
• Life raft and safety equipment and whether it is "in" service.
• The overall state of the vessel.
• Yacht Delivery destination and when you want the vessel to be there.
• The condition of the vessel below the waterline and when it was last anti-fouled.
• The state of the instrumentation.
• Anything that you feel we should know.

Remember:

• Don't panic, if you miss anything, we can contact you.
• If you need help preparing the vessel then we can help. We  advise you to contact your own yard, but we have the experience to carry out most work if necessary.
• Prepare for the financial side of things too. You will need to pay for the crew's transportation to the vessel and back from the destination to the UK- Hampshire. You will be responsible for the fuel for the delivery, mooring costs and insurance for the vessel. Finer details of the payment plan will be discussed after initial contact.

After we have received your request, it will be considered very carefully. All foreseeable considerations will be taken into account, and we will attempt to prepare for unforeseeable ones too. You will be given a price. We will accept the contract to deliver your yacht only if we feel we can offer you the service you require.

Please include any special considerations we need to be aware of. Please note that we do not accept owners, relatives of owners or friends of owners on board during the delivery passage. I feel that although well intentioned, it can negatively affect the skipper's decision making. I therefore consider it a dangerous influence. There are other skippers/ businesses who do not feel the same way.

The most important consideration of all will be the time of the year that you want your yacht delivered.

The AquaSix Post-Yacht Delivery Report

After the delivery has been completed the owners will be supplied with a report. This report will outline any difficulties experienced during the voyage, any modifications that should be considered and useful opinions on the vessel. The post delivery report can be very useful to owners.

Joking aside, we at AquaSix.co.uk believe in trying to help protect the earth's wildlife for future generations. We therefore donate 2% of the delivery charge to the World Wildlife Association .

Its quite a small donation but we hope to improve on this in time.

We also contribute to the RNLI but his is not procedure at present. It is however something we are keen to work on. We will keep you posted.
